The 2026 NECO June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal runs from Monday, 15 June to Thursday, 23 July 2026. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the official timetable, and the complete subject-by-subject schedule is below.

Check each of your subjects against the dates and times before every paper. If anything is unclear — time, venue, paper title or paper code — ask your school principal or class teacher, or your NECO state office.

Schools and candidates should note the following:

  1. Each candidate must have a photocard for identification during the examination.
  2. Where the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, follow the time on the question paper.
  3. For Physical Education Practical Paper I, and French, Music and Arabic Paper IV, confirm the specific exam venue at your NECO state office.
  4. Practicals in the sciences and Computer Studies can hold in sets where candidates are many and the equipment cannot go round.
  5. Visual Arts Paper IV (Creative Design) should be given to candidates at least one week before the examination date.
  6. Nigerian languages (Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba) include a Literature aspect.
  7. Albino and blind candidates are allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each subject.
  8. Blind candidates must use the NECO-supplied OBR customised braille sheet.
  9. Scientific calculators are allowed.
  10. Electronic communication gadgets (programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smart wristwatches, glasses, pens and similar) are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
  11. Candidates who do not sit for Practicals (Paper I) will not have a result in that subject.
  12. Trade subject questions are hybrid in nature.
