Facebook, the world’s most popular social networking site, allows users to connect with friends and family, make new friends, and attract potential business clients and consumers.
Even if you believe Facebook is fantastic, there are other reasons why so many people may not want to keep using it.
If you’ve had it with Facebook and want to delete your account permanently or temporarily, I’m happy to tell you that you can.
Facebook has a function that allows you to close your account temporarily or permanently.
When I say temporarily close your Facebook account, I mean to deactivate it; when I say permanently close your Facebook account, I mean to delete it.
Whatever your reason for wishing to deactivate your Facebook account, I’ll show you how to do so in this article instantly.
You’ll also discover how to tell the difference between temporarily and permanently cancelling your Facebook account in this article.
The reason I’ll show you this is so you can understand what they are and decide what you really want, so you don’t make a hurried decision without fully understanding the implications.
Let’s take a look at the difference between temporarily deactivating your Facebook account and permanently deleting your Facebook account.
Difference Between Temporarily Closing Your Facebook Account and Permanently Closing Your Facebook Account
To temporarily deactivate or close your Facebook account:
1. You can reactivate it whenever you want
2. People can’t see your timeline or search for you.
3. Some information may remain visible to others (for example, messages you sent).
On the other hand, if you choose to permanently close or delete your Facebook account:
1. You can’t regain access once it’s deleted.
2. It may take up to 90 days to delete all your data stored in Facebook backup systems.
3. In the course of these 90 days, your information isn’t accessible on Facebook during this time.
4. Some information, such as messaging history, isn’t stored in your account. This means that friends may still have access to the messages you sent after your account has been deleted.
5. Copies of certain materials (for example, log records) may remain in the Facebook database but are disassociated from personal identifiers.
Now you know the difference between both of them, it’s then up to you to decide carefully which you want to do.

How To Permanently Close Facebook Account
Before deleting your account, you may want to log in and download a copy of your information (like your photos and posts) from Facebook. Learn how to download a copy of your Facebook information
